Owen is a Dallas, TX based AEA actor and singer who has appeared on stages all across the country as well as in NYC. In the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex he has appeared in BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL and JERSEY BOYS, both at Casa Manana. He also understudied both Princes in INTO THE WOODS at the Tony Award-Winning Dallas Theater Center. Pre-pandemic he appeared as part of the inaugural tour cast of KINKY BOOTS, aboard the Norwegian Encore, playing Harry as well as understudying, and performing, Charlie Price. 

 

Owen has taken on the title role in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR not once, but twice, starring in productions at both Totem Pole Playhouse and Surflight Theatre. Between his two stints as Jesus, he spent some time in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s other biblical musical as Reuben in JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT, also at Totem Pole Playhouse. 

 

Other favorite roles have included Jack Kelly in NEWSIES, a performance which earned him a nomination for Best Leading Actor in the Illinois Times, Robbie Hart in THE WEDDING SINGER, Drew in ROCK OF AGES, Emmett in LEGALLY BLONDE, and George in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE.

 

Owen also currently serves as the Associate Producer of The Firehouse Theatre located in Farmers Branch, TX overseeing all programming and directed their smash hit productions of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
